Once Upon A Time In Tunisia

Once Upon A Time In Tunisia.

Once Upon A  Time In Tunisia” Africa-Europe Youth Initiative- Mobilizing 40 young  changemakers from Europe and Africa. The Afro-Euro partners in this consortium have been working with EU projects in several areas from entrepreneurship, emotional & psychological intelligence to creative sector using new ideas and concepts.
So, together in this project, we brought synergy to tackle, prejudices, discrimination and stereotyping while enhancing learning and empowering the creative sector by removing obstacles to mobility and exploring a model of social and economic innovation via creating city regions that could build the creative sectors in their own regions.
This Educational and Cultural exchanges impacted significantly and brought 40 youngsters from every religious, economic, and social background together. So, through this project, we succeeded to combine both preservation of cultural heritage and worked on social integration of people and in particular youngsters and artistic groups within the creative sector who usually get less attention via the media and other networks in their local communities and developed active citizenship among all groups, especially the creative sector.
We do believe that life is about happiness and social interaction with other cultures, helping us grow our capacity, to learn new languages, sharing ideas and experience, getting to know new cultures, developing our outlook, making us open minded, creating different opportunities while enhancing the personal journeys of all those engaged in this educational and cultural exchange process.
Cultural heritage is all about mixture of customs, traditions, moral values, attitudes, beliefs, and ideals not only to make us who we are but binds us to pass it on from one generation to another. So, through this project we succeeded to get our communities to know about the cultural heritage of different countries, share experience and ideas, learn, love, and pass it to the next generation preserving the history.

Our heart felt gratitude goes to Sami Essid, Happy Saiid, Hakim Yohan Zarrouk and the entire Tunisian team, for their hospitality and restless efforts to make our 10 days stay in Tunisia, very fruitful.

We also thank to Irina Makaryan for her professionalism and direction, and Mohamed Madar his supporting effort that made the event possible
