Art against social exclusion
Tichting Rajodoon has successfully implemented the long awaited “Art against social exclusion” Youth exchange project in between 15-26 December 2022, in Kemer, Antalya Turkey.
There were 40 youngsters from 8 different countries: Netherlands, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Georgia, Armenia, North Macedonia and Türkiye, that came together to take part in the youth exchange “Art against social exclusion” project, to develop their social, linguistic and artistic related skills.
The main aim of the project was to use art to help young people to create a tolerant society, where they will be
equally included despite their gender, sexual orientation, ethnic and religious belonging or health state.
Specific objectives of the projects were the following:
– To increase participants’ knowledge and raise their awareness about social exclusion, intercultural communication, and tolerance with marginalized groups through meaningful action and substantive social change in local communities.
– To contribute to the development of young people’s creative abilities and use art as a platform for social inclusion.
– To empower youth to serve as multipliers in the interest of marginalized young people who have been subjected to human rights violations.
– To build a strong network and probably plan a potential collaborative project.
– Recognize Erasmus+ as a tool for intercultural learning, youth work, and inclusion
During the 9 days long program, the project made the youngster a positive impact as they developed their social, linguistic and artistic related skills that will enable them to promote art as a tool for inclusion and tolerance.
